What We Do
We carry out a variety of work with our members, user groups, local communities and public and private sector organisations. If you think you’d like to work with us please get in touch for a chat. If you’d like to find out about the people we work with take a look at our partners page or see our different groups.
Involvement
We are a delivery agency for independent involvement projects. We engage with people to enable them to have a say in how public services are planned, delivered and monitored.
We also manage an network, Together We Can. In this and our other regular involvement groups, members are encouraged to share their lived experiences and opinions with our partners. In addition to setting up such groups we provide ongoing facilitation, training and support as well as help recruiting new members from diverse communities.
Service redesign
We frequently work with partners to ensure service redesign is user-led. With more than 20 years of experience in this area we make sure that there is a link between individuals who use the services and the decision-makers.
Research
We are regularly commissioned to carry out all kinds of research. We use a range of different data collection methods to gather the views of the public and patients including interviews, surveys and focus groups. Projects are carefully designed to ensure that everyone, including people from diverse communities, has the chance to share their opinion. The research we undertake includes feedback and evaluation, strategy reviews and recommendations for future service provision.
Accessibility auditing
We offer accessibility auditing. Our auditing covers a range of items including websites, services, buildings, venues and equipment and gadgets. The Equipment and Telecare Service User Group regularly test equipment and give feedback to technicians developing new products.
