In January 2016 we were approached by Mandrill Media Ltd, a film company that had heard about Leeds Involving People members and the user involvement work that LIP facilitate with the NHS and Adult Social Care. They needed people who would talk about what user involvement meant to them. Sue Harkin and Paul Parmenter both spoke really candidly about why it was important for service providers to engage, listen and feedback with service users. The video was used as a valuable part of training sessions for future NHS leaders. This was a fantastic opportunity to promote LIP and why user involvement is so important, so the pre-filming jitters were really worth it!
